This is one of those things I'd probably document in a baby book if I actually ever got around to keeping one up for either child. I feel very guilty about this, but I don't know, it just never really seemed to happen. But enough about that, on to the topic at hand, which is, Stazi's newfound powers of speech. She's starting to really pick up a lot of words lately. So far I've noticed "Mama", "Dada" (although Keith is usually referred to as "Mama" for some reason), "ba-pa" (backpack), "go", "guh-guh" (thank you), "banana" (cannot even begin to reproduce how she pronounces that one), "down", "yeah", and of course, "no". Zeke taught her that last. She can also make a good start at singing the "Teletubbies" theme song, and no, I do not want to discuss this.

Here's a theory about baby books. They are the consolation prize for otherwise defective or inattentive parenting. We never managed to keep up the baby books for longer than one year, and that sporadically. Discuss amongst yourselves.

My experience with baby books is that they are most useful to compare various measurements and time of reaching developmental milestones with your siblings when they have children. You can infer the importance of that on your own! ; )
