Practically every day on the way to preschool, Zeke asks me if it's his day to share. (You're supposed to sign up for "snack and sharing" once a month, and on your day, you bring enough snacks for 30 preschoolers, and your child gets to share something with the class. It can be anything, except a toy.)

Well, today was finally his day to share. We ran through some options -- his Incredibles book, a picture of his daddy -- and finally decided on a map of where we are going on vacation, and some pictures of the beach. I showed him how the little line went from Ohio, which is where we live, to the beach, which is where we are going. He loves maps. This was a big hit. I hope it goes over well with all his little friends, too.

I think if we just give Zeke a bunch of maps to play with when we go on our trip, he'll manage to entertain himself for the entire 2-day drive. He likes tracing the roads with his finger and announcing, "This is where the train goes," and "This is the way to Grandma Morrie's house."
