I really need to replace that picture at the top of this page. I've never really been in love with it, but after Stazi was a year or so old, it seemed wrong to just have a picture of me and Keith and Zeke up, and the current picture was the only picture of the four of us together that I had. I kind of hate how I look in it. Also, it is blurry and you can only see half of Zeke's face. And it is extremely, very, absurdly outdated at this point, as Stazi is now a walking talking toddler and Zeke is, well, huge.

The previous entry was a bit depressing and I wanted to get it off the front page. So here's some non-depressing news: I solved the Saturday NY Times crossword in 14:38 today! I run hot and cold with the crossword; some weeks I can't even solve the Thursday without help and then some weeks, like this week, I blast through the Saturday in less than 15 minutes. So that is my little triumph for today.

And, my blood sugar has been great today.

That's all. No pregnancy news to report; my first OB/GYN appointment is this Friday, and I expect they will do an ultrasound and check the heartbeat and demand to see my blood sugar logs and so on and so forth. I am still sleeping on my tummy for as long as I can get away with it, and marvel of marvels, I actually managed to fit back into my regular non-maternity pants this week (which again, I will enjoy while it lasts).

Tomorrow I am taking Zeke to the Children's Theater production of "Alexander Who's Not Not Not Not Not Going to Move," which will apparently be a musical production. I took him to "Little Red Riding Hood" last spring and it was a hoot. As child enrichment activities go, I enjoy this kind of stuff a hell of a lot more than T-ball, and to tell you the truth, I suspect that so does he.

I am most impressed with your crossword solving abilities!!
Of course, you are a word-person, but man, that's impressive.

How did you manage to go BACK to your regular pants??
And, congrats on your great blood sugar control yesterday.
