And, we're back.

I've decided, obviously, to bring the journal back. I missed it, and I've decided that if people are going to get their backs up about what I write, that is their concern and not mine. I never intentionally try to hurt anyone's feelings, so if I write something here and you don't like it, you can either approach me about it and we'll have a conversation and work things out, or you can keep it to yourself and know that upsetting you wasn't my intent.

This is not directed at any one person; over the years what a friend once termed my "abrasive" personality has caused me more than a few problems, so if you feel like I'm addressing this directly to you, rest assured that at least a dozen other people are thinking the exact same thing. This is a good rule of thumb in general; I write for my own purposes and I very rarely write entries that are directed at someone in particular. If I do write an entry targeted specifically at you, trust me: you'll know.

Anyway, enough dramatics, and back to the mundane recapping of my everyday life that I know each and one of you has been slavering for ever since my abrupt departure.

Since my last entry, we've had four birthdays, two vacations, countless Saturday night board gaming sessions, and a few too many Mike's Hard Lemonades. (I actually prefer the Mike's Green Apple Cider, to tell you the truth.) Our station wagon died, and we replaced it with a minivan. I grew my hair out long enough to put it back in a ponytail, dyed it a really unnatural shade of blonde, cut it all off, and then turned it red again. I also started weight training, courtesy of the weight bench with attached lat tower that is now parked in our garage.

That's more or less the short version. Any questions?

I'm so glad you are back!! Missed your journal a lot. I am a 67 yr old great grandma and love reading about your two little angels. As for the snitty people who don't like things you say, ignore them as if they were not there. They should know that your journal must reflect YOUR ideas, happenings, opinions, etc. That's why it's called a journal.

Hope all is well with you and your lovely family. I look forward to reading future entries.

Regards, Faye
