A few little updates on some ongoing events:
House. We close tomorrow. Definitely. I just got a call from our mortgage broker person, and she said that they've reviewed all documents, and except for one document missing a signature, which they will bring to closing tomorrow, we are good to go. Because the sellers are contracted to pay $2000 of our closing costs, we will actually walk away from closing tomorrow with $30 in our pockets.
The sellers will have possession for an additional 9 days. We were going to wait an additional week beyond that to move in, because Keith had a leave request in for the weekend of Nov. 18, but the leave request was denied. Apparently three people are already taking vacation that week. So he's going to request off a single day, Nov. 13, instead. He is confident they will grant this request. We will plan to move the bulk of our crap stuff on that day.
Which means we have a little over a week to pack ALL REMAINING UNPACKED ITEMS. Excuse me while I have a moment.
Okay. It is so tempting for me to just start throwing stuff away, and in some cases I have given in to temptation. Unmatched socks? Trashed. Puzzles missing pieces? Trashed. Freaky toddler toy that vibrates and makes a loud buzzing sound while playing what sounds like scary clown music? So trashed.
Anyway, we have a lot to do, which clearly is why I am sitting here updating my web journal.
Potty training. Have given up for now. There is too much other crap (no pun intended) going on right now, and Stazi does not need the additional stress. Neither do I. Also, in the new house we will have a bathroom on every floor, which needless to say is going to make the whole process a lot easier.
The other thing I was going to update about. I forget what it is. My brain is like Swiss cheese these days, except not as tasty.
