Couple of brief items. First off: I'm Freecycling a king-sized sheet set that we bought for the king-sized bed in our vacation house this past summer, and which we are probably never going to use again. Someone responded to my offer post with the following:
We just traded our daughter for a king size bed and only have one set of sheets.
I hope she doesn't really mean that. Although king sized beds are pretty awesome...
Item the second: There's a half-hour gap between the time Stazi gets picked up from preschool and the time Zeke gets picked up, because the toddler preschool ends at 11:00 and the "Children's House" preschool goes until 11:30. The staff is nice enough to let those of us who have to stay for that half hour hang around in the toddler preschool room with our kids. So today, I was sitting in there watching Stazi try to put together a puzzle, and half-listening to a conversation going on between two moms sitting on the floor behind me. It went something along these lines:
First Mom: Boy, I am really excited to finally go shopping with my friend this weekend. It seems like forever since I've got to shop!
Second Mom: Really? You... like the shopping around here?
First Mom: Are you serious? There's great shopping in this area!
Second Mom: Well, yeah, I guess, but my perspective is that we came here from Houston, and I guess in Houston there's just a lot more specialty and boutique stores and there's not so much of that here. I really miss it.
First Mom: Hmm, good point.
I have nothing in common with these people.
